Worth noting

Couple of excellent pointers today from Rafat Ali on PaidContent.org:
  • Online Journalism Review has a good article on how Web publishers being hit with cease-and-desist letters are fighting back and winning.
  • EContent has more on Northwest Voice, the California paper being produced largely through local contributors' content. See my earlier stuff on that here.
  • And Jeremy Allaire on Paid Content has a useful post whose essence is, We are possibly approach[ing] the day when consumers can make informed decisions about whether they want a sponsored version of a media product, or a commercial free pay or subscription product. This again poses the urgency that we as journalists address the question, "What is journalism worth?"
All useful to check out.
