Blogger legal protection

Now that bloggers have brought the downfall of Dan Rather and Eason Jordan and have outed a fake reporter given White House press access, Adam Penenberg at Wired News notes some of them want the same legal protection journalists get under the First Amendment.

His take on that:

But they won't get it. Besides, even if they did, it wouldn't be of much use.
