Have cell phone -- will shoot video
A major storm has come through your area. There's lots of damage. You're a budding TV producer and you come across where a tree has caved in part of a house. But all the crews already are occupied. What do you do?
Yes, there will be a quiz -- it's called an employment interview. To study up, see what Victoria Bemker of WHAS-TV in Louisville did. She whipped out her cell phone and started shooting with nat sound and interviews.
See it all on the station's Web site.
Each clip gets a little pre-roll ad, too. More reasons for people to visit the site, more exposure for the advertiser, more money for the station, more news out there overall.
Makes an excellent point again for why ALL reporters and producers should be carrying simple point-and-shoot cameras.
