Online editing job

A job sent to me by a former student in Charlotte, N.C.:

Would you like to work with an award-winning Web team that uses the latest technology to update its sites? A recipient of local and national Web site awards, Time Warner Cable’s new media department has an opening for a full-time Web Journalist in Charlotte, N.C.

This position will be responsible for updating the division’s Web sites, which include news14charlotte.com, aroundcarolina.com and twcarolina.com. Working in a team environment, this person will convert television scripts and third-party sources into well-written text, graphics and video. The position will also work on other assigned projects and participate in writing discussions and development.

The right candidate should have a solid grasp of spelling, grammar and AP style, as well as strong computer knowledge. The person should also have some experience writing or copy editing for a newspaper or Web site. Basic knowledge of graphics and html is a plus.
