Marquette won't renew adviser's contract

The Marquette Tribune reports that student publications adviser Tom Mueller has been told his contract will not be renewed. Among the reasons Mueller says he was given: uneven color printing. (If that's a reason, about half of the editors in the United States should be fired.)

As the story indicates, this might be a longer-simmering thing over the administration's reaction to the newspaper's publishing the name of a faculty member with tuberculosis in November 2003.

SPJ says it will investigate.
