But here's a good source for editors and reporters handling stories about that local franchise business. Entrepreneur.com's Franchise Zone has a lot of the details, including investment and startup costs, training, how many locations, etc. I like how it has some of the smaller, odder ones that can be hard to find -- for instance, Groucho's Deli here in Columbia that's just started branching out.
