The moblogs ride again ...

Mobile Web Log --- moblog -- coverage of the election season continues next week out of the Wireless Election Connection.

After a succsessful run at the February primary and the summer conventions, we're expanding it to include students armed with camera phones in Florida, Georgia and the Washington metro area. The posting starts Monday with pre-election preparations.

And another group plans to moblog the election in South Carolina's Upstate. Kim Smith, who teaches at USC Upstate, will have his students working with the Herald-Journal in Spartanburg to post on Election Day.

Students ... have been studying the impact of blogs on society and have recently built their own. In the process, they learned about journalism and some of the ethical challenges that camera phones, digital cameras and blogs pose for society. Their blogs were e-mailed to the Journal and the newspaper recruited the students to “blog” election day.
