Going on a Bender

Ok, cheap headline.

But it got your attention so that I can point you to a blog by Jay Bender, media lawyer extraordinare, adviser to the S.C. Press Association and motorcycle afficianado as he starts his cross-country motorcycle trip, a 24-day odyssey from Columbia to Florida to Deadhorse, Alaska, and then back. (He hopes to get to Prudhoe Bay, but they only let you take a commercial tour past Deadhorse). (This map will just reinforce that it's pretty much in the middle of nowhere.)

So let this be a warning -- there's a lawyer on a motorcycle out there. If that doesn't strike fear into the hearts of motorists, I don't know what will.
