Some lessons from the city desk

My partner in crime, Nicole Stockdale, has a good post from the ACES conference about a session on dealing with the city desk and reporters as a copy editor.

There's some good advice there from Alex Cruden of the Detroit Free Press via Nicole. To my thinking, the nut graf: Cruden stressed that we should ask only questions that can be answered. The more you help move toward a solution, the more you'll be recognized as a great copy editor.
