S.C.'s The State cutting outlying subscribers
As many papers continue to do, The State in South Carolina says it will drop delivery and newsstand sales in 18 counties.
That's about 1,800 subscribers.
Once again, when you hear newspapers singing the subscription blues, keep in mind that a few points of those declines have been self-inflicted for many years. Not that the damage isn't real as readership drops, but always good to keep perspective.
