A good number to remember

From Carl Bialik's latest Numbers Guy column -- a good look at how public officials use numbers to stun us, is this one to keep tucked in the back of your reporter's notebook for those instant calculations:

According to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing's formula, a stack of new bills has 233 per inch (Bialik says "about 233," but that kind of precision with "about" seems silly, although if you are doing your comparisons using stacks stretching to the moon, a bill here and there might make a big difference).
