Apparently the Accounts Receivable and Comma department at the agency handling the Roper St. Francis Cancer Center account had a bit too much of the sauce at the recent company barbecue.

In a fascinating use of the comma, there was this headline in an ad this weekend:

Making Inoperable Tumors, Operable

Now, how shall we read that? Perhaps they meant it this way:

Making Inoperable Tumors (Ok, wait for it. No, wait for it. Wait for it. Wait for it. Here it comes. Yessssss!) Operable

At the next party, let's keep them away from the comma table, OK?
