Journalism writing in 24 words

I love this, from the "Story Guidelines" page of Reporter.co.za, a South African citizen journalism site.

A sentence should have a fact in it. If it doesn't, it must be there to explain something, elaborate on something, or substantiate something.

Kind of boils journalistic writing down to 24 well-chosen words.

Only problem is, I'm not sure many reporters or talking heads have read it.
