AP Stylebook discussion

Nicole at A Capital Idea points to a good thread on Testy Copy Editors about the AP Stylebook. As one poster notes, the person who started that thread was a bad, bad person -- it's like tossing a semicolon and a bottle of Jack Daniel's into a room of copy editors.

One poster also links to a good discussion by stylebook editor Norm Goldstein (whom I had the delight to be associated with in my years at AP -- Norm's one of the best) about the rationale behind the stylebook and how it works. It's posted on the PRSA Web site.
