Outing leaves Poynter

Steve Outing has left the Poynter Institute and his job overseeing the E-media Tidbits blog that has been one of my daily must-reads.

Poynter's Julie Moos is running the group effort until a permanent editor can be found. It will be interesting to see which direction the blog goes under new "ownership." While there certainly were multiple contributors, Outing's voice came through loud and clear.

Meanwhile, Outing has set up shop at steveouting.com and is working on his business venture, the Enthusiast Group, which describes itself as "empowering citizen journalism for sports and activities."
