As opposed to tepidly contested?

Working at Newsplex this morning on the Wireless Election Connection, which is up and running with great stuff from the polls in D.C., Maryland, Virginia, South Carolina, Florida and Georgia.

CNN is on in the background, and for the 10th time in the past couple hours, the drones have reminded me of today's "hotly contested" election.

Oh, how I harken back to the days of tepidly contested elections. Maybe a cooly contested one or two ...

Stop them before they talk again.

Oh, for the days when each party didn't have its own designated pollsters to spin the poll numbers either way. By the end of these interviews, I'm getting dizzy.

(have fun at the newsplex today. I'll miss the deadline frenzy)
