Headline hall of shame

This is from the local franchise of the "Snitch" crime newspaper (earlier post), which has been flogging the story of a small-town mayor who was indicted on sex-related charges in 1985 -- and whose indictment was dismissed later that year. The mayor finally addressed the stories the other night, refusing to step down and essentially calling the resurfacing of the case political.
