Blue Plate's state of newspaper blogging

Jay Rosen & Co. at the Blue Plate Special take a look at newspaper blogging and where it's going.

Some pretty good pieces. I really enjoyed the look by Mark Hamilton (proprietor of Notes from a Teacher) at the Canadian scene.

The package is good, but a little thin, as it concentrates on editors who blog. This topic cries out for a wider look at the way many newspapers still struggle with their blogs in a sort of kissing your sister relationship, so you get blogs that too often either read more like columns or like notebook dumps -- and that don't have feedback.

I'll look forward to more from the Blue Plate.
