Good video course

If you are thinking of shooting, or just starting to shoot, video for your newspaper, I highly recommend an online site by Michael Trinklein at Idaho State -- Video 101.

However, it does appear there is a bit of sleight of hand going on here. Take a look at these two photos he uses to illustrate telephoto vs. wide angle:

Here's the text he has on the site: BOTH of these shots are "full shots of a funny lookkng guy." I am standing in the same place in both shots (did I say that already)? The dramatically different backgrounds are due to the fact that one shot is wide angle and one is telephoto.

Hmmmmm ... take a look at his feet, for instance. Does it look as though he is standing in the same place? What do you think?
