Jacksonville Jive - the end?

You might remember from a previous post that things had gotten a bit unseemly in Jacksonville, with allegations of plagiarism and worse against the Florida Times Union's editorial page editor, Lloyd Brown.

Now comes word that Brown has resigned after after a committee found three instances of plagiarism. There were some other cases of material not properly attributed on the editorial pages.

An AP story quotes Brown:

At no time have we ever attempted to pass off someone else's work as our own. If other material was used without proper attribution, it was inadvertent. Regardless, because of the issue, I cannot continue to be an effective voice for the editorial board of The Florida Times-Union ...
Apparently Brown also is a master of understatement.
